Ballet Level 2

Ballet Level 2  |  Grades 2-4 My goal is to build on the foundation of ballet laid in the Level 1 class using Christian and classical music. The girls will continue to lean new arm and feet positions, turns and jumps, posture, creative movement, and work to build a strong core balance. They will also have the opportunity to learn two dances each semester, which they will perform during recital at the end of the semester. As I teach my students, I want to show them something even more beautiful than steps—their heart. A young girl’s heart is so precious. My desire is to show my students how to use their heart to worship God through dance. Every heart is special to God, no matter how big or how small. This class, while divided into semesters, is intended to be for a full year so the girls are able to continue building on what they have learned during the fall semester. No new students will be accepted during the spring semester.   Go to online registration>   Class DetailsClass LocationAbout the TutorImportant DatesHow to RegisterComments Class: Girls Ballet Level 2 Overview: A level two foundation to ballet with an emphasis on worshiping God through dance. Theater Performance

Theater Performance  |  Grades 8-12 Put all of your acting talents and training to use in this level 3 Theater class.  This class focuses on exactly what the title says – a Theater Performance – beginning with auditions and ending with a performance!  The first week we will learn about audition tips and preparation, followed by actual auditions the second week. Everyone in the class will be cast.  The exciting rehearsal process will then begin with studying and understanding the script, developing your character, discovering the ”beats” in a scene, working the objectives in each scene, developing your subtext and intentions, playing the action, and perfecting your acting skills.  Students will also be responsible for helping design and prepare a simple set, and finding or making their own props and costumes.  Tutor will choose the script based on class size and composition, and therefore, registration must be done PRIOR to the first day of class.  This class will have a final performance on Saturday December 9th, (9am Dress Rehearsal, 11:00 Performance), and also during the last class at TCHA on Wednesday, December 13th.
