Divino Voce Choir

Divino Voce Boys and Girls Choir  |  Grades 8-12

Choir is fun! Singing with a group and working together to make a choral piece come alive is exciting. In Divino Voce we will work on music ranging from unison to 4+ part harmony in various styles. This could include Classical, Musical Theater, Pop, Christmas, Patriotic, Spirituals and Folk Songs. We’ll explore other languages, learn some fun warm-ups, and work on rhythm/movement which will help us loosen up and “feel” what we’re singing. We will perform at the TCHA Choir Concert and a possible second performance at a Senior Center or festival.

Let’s use our God-given talents to praise His name and to bring joy and beauty to those around us!

Bernard200Lisa Bernard has sung professionally for over 25 years. Her voice has appeared on numerous radio/TV commercials and she’s recorded background vocals for many major Pop and Christian recording artists. She scored a top ten hit with her song “Better Than You” as Lisa Keith in 1993. Her favorite memory from that time was performing on the Jay Leno Show. Before her professional career, Lisa studied classical voice, enjoyed high school and college choirs, and sang in the All State choir.

Recently, Lisa has devoted herself to the music ministry at church and homeschooling her two children. She also enjoys leading choirs and music classes at church and for the homeschool community. Lisa and her husband, Spencer Bernard, have recorded four scripture song albums, called WORDology. Their passion is to help kids memorize the Word by writing music that is fun and easy to learn.

Lisa and Spencer are also working on a jazz album, featuring lyrics from old hymns.  Their music is available for FREE download on their website. spencerandlisa.com  Being a homeschool mom, Lisa is excited being a part of TCHA and all it offers home schoolers. She loves helping her students learn about music, experience the joy of singing, and glorify the Lord with their voices!

TCHA has enlisted the services of Active Network for our online registration. If you have run any charitable marathons you are probably familiar with Active Network. They have expanded beyond marathon registration to camps and classes, which is the specific service we use.

When you click any type of “register” button on the TCHA website, you will be redirected to our page within the Active Network. Here will find a list of our current classes.  Use the filters in the left column to find a specific type of class, grade level, what time a class meets or a particular tutor. You can register one child or multiple children in multiple classes; either way, you will have one convenient and secure check out process with options to pay in full or make a partial payment.

If you have any questions about our registration process, please contact Mark Opseth, Executive Director…
