Music Makers | Grades K-3
Students participating in our Music Makers group will have opportunities both to learn and perform. Students will sing as an ensemble and prepare songs for the Christmas concert, but will also focus on becoming comfortable performing individually as well. Students will learn and sing rounds, folk songs, musical stories, and move and dance. Solfege will be introduced and used as we learn to read music. Students will also have the opportunity to play melodic and rhythmic instruments in the classroom.

Music Makers is a general music class for children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade.
Mrs. Kayla Krizek is delighted to be a part of TCHA. She has taught music in public, private, and charter school settings to students in grades K-12 in the Twin Cities and holds a current Minnesota teaching license. She herself was homeschooled in grades 7-12! A member of ACDA, Kayla served as co-chair of the Minnesota American Choral Directors’ Association 4th-5th-6th grade Girls’ Honor Choir. Musical theatre is one of Kayla’s biggest passions. She has performed as the Narrator in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” Cinderella in “Into the Woods,” Tzeitel in “Fiddler on the Roof,” Belle in “Beauty and the Beast,” and Liesel in “The Sound of Music.” Kayla, her husband Elliott, and daughters Cora and Hazel enjoy being outside together, gardening, camping, and cooking good food. As a member of the Southern Gospel group Sweetwater Revival, Kayla travels and sings in numerous concerts and venues. She also works with new and expectant mothers as a certified birth doula!

TCHA has enlisted the services of Active Network for our online registration. If you have run any charitable marathons you are probably familiar with Active Network. They have expanded beyond marathon registration to camps and classes, which is the specific service we use.
When you click any type of “register” button on the TCHA website, you will be redirected to our page within the Active Network. Here will find a list of our current classes. Use the filters in the left column to find a specific type of class, grade level, what time a class meets or a particular tutor. You can register one child or multiple children in multiple classes; either way, you will have one convenient and secure check out process with options to pay in full or make a partial payment.
If you have any questions about our registration process, please contact Mark Opseth, Executive Director…
