Kayla Krizek

Choir Tutor

Mrs. Kayla Krizek is delighted to join the teaching staff of TCHA. She has taught music in public, private, and charter school settings to students in grades K-12 in the Twin Cities and holds a current Minnesota teaching license. Kayla is excited to step back in to the homeschool community – she herself was homeschooled in grades 7-12! A member of MENC and ACDA, Kayla serves as co-chair of the Minnesota American Choral Directors’ Association 4th-5th-6th grade Girls’ Honor Choir.

Musical theatre is one of Kayla’s biggest passions. She has performed as the Narrator in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” Cinderella in “Into the Woods,” Tzeitel in “Fiddler on the Roof,” Belle in “Beauty and the Beast,” and Liesel in “The Sound of Music.”

Kayla, her husband Elliott, and daughter Cora reside in Saint Paul and spend their spare time enjoying the outdoors or cooking good food. As a member of the Southern Gospel group Sweetwater Revival, Kayla travels and sings in numerous concerts and venues. She is currently pursuing certification as a birth and postpartum doula, seeking to serve new mommas and young families as they transition in to life together!
