Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. (Hebrews 12:1)
This verse from Hebrews provided the biblical foundation for TCHA’s latest production, Baggage Claim. Bravo to Julie Nelson and her cast and crew for putting on such a powerful and inspiring play. With humor throughout, Baggage Claim wasn’t afraid to tackle some of the dark issues of today, showing that Jesus Christ came to set us free from all those things that hinder and the sin that so easily entangles. When our baggage is disposed of, there is joy everlasting…and lots of dancing!
Thanks to Director Julie Nelson for her tireless leadership and enthusiasm. Thanks to the cast and crew who worked so hard and gave us unforgettable performances. Thanks to the parents who helped with the set, costumes, concessions, the silent auction, ushering, ticket sales, and prayer. Thanks also to Mount Olivet Assembly of God Church for allowing us to use their facility. Glory to God!
Baggage Claim was not only entertaining, it impacted eternity! Praise God!
