Girls of Glory (Previously Ballet 3)  |  Grades 2-4

Using Christian and classical music, Girls of Glory builds off the steps and skills learned in Ballerina Blessings and Hearts of Praise. In this class the girls will learn new turns, jumps, and combinations. They’ll also continue to develop posture and experiment with creative movement. These steps are then incorporated into two dances, which the girls will perform during the recital at the end of the semester. This class also emphasizes developing a solid core balance, being able to do separate parts in a dance, and growing in confidence of one’s abilities.

In class, you will find a family-friendly, stress free environment where every girl is accepted for who she is. We always work hard, but we have lots of fun along the way—whether that means taking a break to play a game or doing a free dance.

I believe that dance in its truest foundation is a form of worship, and it’s my desire to return to God’s original intent. Psalm 149:3 says, “Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.” So while I teach all the basics of traditional ballet, I do so with the goal of showing my students how to worship God through dance.

This class, while divided into semesters, is intended to be for a full year so the girls are able to continue building on what they have learned during the fall semester. No new students will be accepted during the spring semester.

Hello, my name is Miss Esther. I’m the second oldest of eight kids and as a result love working with children. At present, I’m a junior at Thomas Edison State University Online and working towards getting a bachelor’s degree in Humanities with an emphasis on writing, literature, and communications. I’m also a writer, have my own blog, and hope to be a published author one day. In my spare time I enjoy music, singing on the worship team at my church, crafts, reading, and spending time with friends.

When I was five, my mom enrolled me in my first dance class at a Christian dance studio. I loved it so much that I continued dance classes for nine years. As I grew older, I assisted in some dance classes for young girls, but eventually I came to a point where there weren’t any more classes for me to take. However, I wasn’t ready to be done with dance. Thus, in 2014 I started my own dance class for the girls at my church. Then in 2015 I was hired by TCHA and have been teaching here ever since. I have a heart devoted to the Lord and love to dance for Him.
