About us
Mission and Vision
TCHA exists to provide performing arts classes and opportunities, viewed through a redemptive lens, to home educated students in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
Our board and tutors are all professing Christians, and TCHA operates from a Christian worldview. Depending on the tutor or director, prayer, devotionals, worship, and Christ-centered music may be incorporated into our classes and productions. TCHA is not affiliated with any denomination or church, but holds to Christian principles, including the inerrancy of Scripture as the Word of God, and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
TCHA is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization.
Our Values / Philosophy
- 1
We seek to glorify God in all we do.
- 2
We strive to be faithful to the gifts God has given us, as students and as instructors.
- 3
We strive to be intentional in fostering an environment that promotes spiritual, emotional, and artistic growth, through our productions and classes.
- 4
We encourage students to strive for excellence in all things, while modeling this as instructors, believing that excellence in the arts can be an act of worship to our Creator.
- 5
We strive to stretch our students to explore facets of the human condition onstage that they may not have experienced before, in order to develop compassion and an attitude of grace.
- 6
We seek to tell relevant stories in our art, desiring to provoke questions that drive the viewer/listener to seek relationship and communion with God.
- 7
We acknowledge that the arts are given to us by God as a reflection of His creative characteristics, therefore we respect our students in their own journey of expression in that context and encourage them to do the same with each other.
